Studiestart/ oppstartsuka

Samisk høgskole arrangerer oppstartsuke hver høst i forbindelse med studiestart. Oppstartsuka er spesielt tilpasset nye studenter og vi anbefaler alle nye studenter om å delta på de ulike aktivitetene. Oppstartuka inneholder ulike kurs, viktig informasjon, studentkveld og andre aktiviteter der fokuset er at studenter skal bli kjent med hverandre, med campus og Guovdageaidnu.

Registrering

Registrer deg som student via Studentweb. Når du har registrert deg som student, kan du opprette IT-konto og få studentbevis og nøkkelkort.

 IT-konto og IT-hjelp

Alle studenter må opprette en IT-konto ved Samisk høgskole for å få tilgang til de fleste tjenestene vi tilbyr, som f.eks. å logge inn på datamaskiner, utskrift, skanne, få tilgang til student-e-post osv.

Vi anbefaler at du oppretter IT-kontoen i god tid slik at du får tilgang før undervisningen starter.

Du får informasjon via e-post eller SMS når IT-kontoen er klar til å opprettes.
Vi anbefaler også å gjøre deg kjent med våre tekniske løsninger før undervisningen starter, som f.eks. Office 365, Zoom, Wi-Fi, og utskriftstjenester.

Dersom du trenger hjelp med IT-tjenester, tilbys IT-støtte i løpet av den første uka.

Timeplan

I TimeEdit kan du se når du har undervisning, hvilken undervisningsform som benyttes, når det er eksamener og innleveringer, og når det er samlinger:

• Velg hvilket språk du vil bruke i timeplansystemet (samisk, finsk eller engelsk)

• Hvis du vil se timeplanen for et bestemt studieprogram, velg Kull
• Hvis du er deltidsstudent og vil finne riktig undervisningstid, er det også mulig å bruke en direkte lenke til riktig time- og samlingsplan på vår nettside under det aktuelle studietilbudet.

 

Canvas

Canvas er læringsplattformen for studenter, lærere og studieadministrasjonen. I Canvas kunngjøres all informasjon om undervisning, vurdering, innleveringer og annen viktig informasjon. Brukernavn og passord er det samme som for IT-kontoen.

Du får tilgang til Canvas når du er registrert som student og har opprettet IT-konto.

Vi anbefaler også å laste ned Canvas-appen, som gir samme informasjon som nettversjonen. Du kan få varsler og meldinger. Appen fungerer både på iOS og Android.

 

 

Studieadministrasjon

Studieadministrasjonen er Samisk høgskoles informasjons- og servicesenter for studenter. Vi kan hjelpe deg med mange saker, f.eks.: Innpassing av tidligere utdanning, studierett, eksamensavvikling, behandling av studentsaker, individuell tilrettelegging, tilgang til emner osv.

There is a lot happening during the first weeks of the semester start. 

Here is some information about practical things that should be arranged before the start of your studies, especially for you as a new student.

Study start / the start-up week

Sami University of Applied Sciences organizes a start-up week every autumn in connection with the beginning of studies. The start-up week is specifically tailored for new students, and we recommend all new students to participate in the various activities. The start-up week includes various courses, important information, student evenings, and other activities where the focus is for students to get to know each other, the campus, and Guovdageaidnu.The start-up week is held in Guovdageaidnu in mid-August. Semester Fee and Student ID

The invoice for the semester and material fee is published on Studentweb.

The semester fee must be paid before you can register as a student and thus have student rights at Sámi University of Applied Sciences. Please note that invoices are not sent by post or email. To log in to StudentWeb, use the same login that you used when you applied for the study program.

NOTE! If you do not have a Norwegian personal identity number, you must contact the study administration in order to register.

All students must pay a semester fee of NOK 500 to SSO (Students' Association in Indre-Finnmark) and a materials fee to Sámi University of Applied Sciences. The amount of the materials fee depends on which study program you are taking, whether you are a full-time or part-time student. 

According to the rules of the Student Association Act, students who do not live at the place of study can choose to pay their semester fee to another student association that offers its services where the student lives. Please also note that if you are a student at several study locations at the same time, you should not have to pay semester fees to more than one student association. The main principle is that you pay semester fees to the place where you use the services. If you have paid semester fees to another institution, you can send documentation to the study administration.

Registration

Register yourself as a student via Studentweb.

Once you have paid the semester fee and your payment has been registered, you can register as a student. Registration is done on studentweb. Please note that it may take a few days before we receive your payment in the bank.

Only when you have registered as a student can you create an IT account, get a student ID, key card, and receive loans and grants from the Loan Fund.

The Student ID+ app functions as proof that you are a student, and it can also be used to get a key card.

IT Account and IT Support

All students must create an IT account at the Sámi University of Applied Sciences to access most of the services we offer, such as logging into computers, printing, scanning, accessing student email, etc.

We recommend creating your IT account early so you can access everything when teaching begins.

You’ll receive information by email or SMS when your IT account is ready to be created.
We also recommend familiarizing yourself with our technical systems before classes start, such as Office 365, Zoom, Wi-Fi, and printing services.

If you need help with IT services, IT support is available during the first week.

In TimeEdit, you can see when and how your classes take place, exam dates and deadlines, what type of teaching is used, and when there are gatherings:

• Choose Schedule
• Select your preferred language (Sámi, Finnish, or English)
• If you want to view the timetable for a specific subject, choose Emne
• If you want to view the timetable for a specific study program, choose Kull
• If you are a part-time student and need to find the correct timetable, you can also use a direct link to the time and gathering schedule for your study program on our website.

Canvas

Canvas is the learning platform for students, teachers and the study administration.Canvas contains all information related to teaching, assessments, assignments, and other important details. Your username and password is the same as for your IT account.

Study Administration

The study administration is the information and service center for students at Sámi University of Applied Sciences.
We can help you with various matters, such as recognition of prior learning, study rights, exam organization, student case processing, individual accommodation, access to courses etc.
